Technical Sales Manager Position

The Sales Manager’s primary responsibilities will be selling MecSoft’s products domestically to end users via the phone and/or the web. Additional responsibilities include sales pipeline building activities such as Lead Organization, Lead Follow Up, Lead tracking, Lead Qualifying and Sales Estimating. Sales manager will be responsible in managing one sales associate. Success will be measured primarily on closed sales and the ability to manage sales associate.

What skills are needed…

  • 3-5 years CAD/CAM or related software sales experience
  • Bachelors degree in Business/Engineering/Manufacturing
  • Ability to perform on-line demos of products to prospects and customers
  • Must possess creativity, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Self starter and comfortable working in a diverse, small company atmosphere
  • Computer skills in MS office products and on-line CRM systems
  • CAD systems such as Rhino/Solidworks/Inventor and CAM systems proficiency
  • Spanish/French speaking ability a plus

What you would be doing…

  • Organize sales leads obtained via web-site, industry lists, tradeshows and other sources in CRM system
  • Manage Sales Associate who is responsible for following up sales leads by email and telephone to generate sales opportunities
  • Take over the final stages of the sales funnel with the identified sales opportunities
  • Build an OEM sales program working with machine tool vendors and other partners
  • Organize, schedule and perform on-line product demonstrations to prospects
  • Engage with existing customers to determine additional needs
  • Work with Marketing to promote webinars, seminars and other product promotions
  • Participate in industry tradeshows to showcase products and generate leads and OEM sales opportunities
  • Work with partner companies and organizations to organize joint sales activities
  • Document daily activities including call notes, scheduled product demonstrations and follow up activities using a CRM system
  • Participate in weekly activity reviews with management to set targets, schedules and define upcoming weekly activities
